DRDO has planned another test firing of the K-15 Missile which is a part of the Sagarika Project. The test will take place off the coast of Visakhapatnam from a pontoon. The K-15 has been tested many times before from a submerged pontoon. These latest tests have taken India into possessing the nuclear triad - land based missiles, bombers & Submarine-launched ballistic missiles. DRDO made use of a pontoon since we do not possess a nuclear submarine as yet.

According to CNN-IBN India has inducted Sagarika SLBM (submarine launched ballistic missile) into the Indian Navy. The missile has a range of 1000 kilometres and has met all the required parameters set by the DRDO. Read more at www.yreach.com
