This is deemed as the first day of the Spring Season. On this auspicious day, the children are taught to write their first words, which mean this would be their beginning for their education, the Brahmins are gratified with food, and the ancestral worship is also an important step followed during this day and many schools also organize special prayer sessions on this day.
