The Purulia arms drop case is one of the ghastly incident that took place in Purulia district West Bengal. This incident took place on 17th December 1995, where unauthorised arms were dropped from an Antonov An-26 aircraft. On the night of 17th December 1995, the arms were dropped in areas of Ghatanga, Maramu, Jhalda, Belamu villages of Purulia district.
