The Central Haj Committee, or simply the Haj Committee, is responsible to take all the administrative and official processing of Muslim pilgrims journey and stay in Saudi Arabia during the Haj pilgrimage. It is an undertaking of the Central Govt. (Govt. of India). Making a Haj pilgrimage is binding upon a Muslim once in a lifetime, subject to financial stability.
