The Google Doodle today honours the 118th birthday of one of the famous Hungarian physiologist 'Albert Szent-Gyorgyi' with an image of a pair of oranges on its home page. Albert von Szent-Gyorgyi de Nagyrapolt was born on 16th September, 1893 in Budapest, Hungary. He was the son of a great landed proprietor, Nicolaus von Szent-Gyorgyi. Both his father and brother Michael were Professors of Anatomy in the University of Budapest. Albert Szent-Gyorgyi is credited for his discoveries on Vitamin C and also on components and reactions of the citric acid cycle. In 1937, 'For his discoveries in connection with the biological combustion process with special reference to vitamin C and the catalysis of fumaric acid', he was honoured with the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine....
