The United States has made an offer to India in terms of partnership for the development of the most advanced type of flying machine in the world, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. US had earlier lost a bid of $11 billion contract for around 126 war planes. Pentagon had acknowledged the recent decision of India not to go in for F-14 as well as F-18 fighters .
