Students from Andhra Pradesh secured three ranks among the top 10 from AIEEE results 2011. J Varun secured 5th rank, I Pridhvi Tej ranked 7th, Bhargava Reddy ranked 8th and Sai Surendra Reddy ranked 12th. Among the above students I Pridhvi was the topper in IIT-JEE, while Varun secured 9th rank and Bhargava secured 8th. Among the 1.10 lakhs of students who appeared for AIEEE from Andhra Pradesh, 25 students secured ranks in top the 100.

It has come to light that most of the toppers from AIEEE are looking for admissions in IIT and 30 NITs institutions across India. Even the five state toppers from AIEEE showed interest in IITs. Shubham Mehta from Kota, who ranked 16th in AIEEE 2011 and AIR-2 position in IITs, said that he is all set to be a part of IIT-Mumbai. Mehta who is also preparing for the International Physics Olympiad this year, said that getting admission in IIT-Mumbai is like a big dream come true.
