Silver futures jumped 8.2 percent to US$49.82 an ounce in large trading volume yesterday. Recorded as a 31-year high, which was just 53 US cents off Silver's all-time high of US$50.35 hit on 18th Jan, 1980. This jump in the Silver and Gold prices is said to be a uplift in US dollar and strong physical demand so Silver in Asia, which also boosted Gold to a new record high in its seven consecutive session.
