Hindu devotees all over India are set to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi all over the country on 1st September 2011. In Maharasthra and the Southern States, the gaiety of the festival can be felt in the spirit with which the festival is celebrated much in advance by artisans carving the idols of Lord Ganesh, which are then placed all over the city for the devotees to seek their blessings form him Lord Ganesh. Incidentally, Lord Ganesha is considered to be the savior of removing obstacles from one's path, and devotees hope that problems get resolved in their lives.
