Ms. J. Jayalalithaa, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Monday has announced that she will not play any role in stopping the death sentence of the three criminals of Rajiv Gandhi. Three assassins named Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan, LTTE soldiers convicted in Rajiv Gandhi's assassination are scheduled for a death sentence on September 9, 2011. Rajiv Gandhi was murdered by an LTTE suicide group at Sriperumbudur village, 50 kms from Chennai on 21st May 1991. Ms. Jayalalithaa's announced in the assembly that she has no powers to stop the death sentence after President Pratibha Patil had rejected their plea for mercy, after various calls made by different political parties....
