US residents were shaken by an earthquake that hit Virginia 1.51 PM ET measuring about 5.8 and lasting for about 45 second according to reports from US Geological Survey. Offices and buildings shook from North Carolina to places in Ottawa, Canada. The earthquake happens to be the strongest that as ever been recorded so far, and staff and residents of White House and Pentagon were asked to evacuate the premises as precautionary measure.
