Indian Share Market Tumbling, Sensex Hits Low Level, Sensex Drops, Below 17000, Recession 2011 - YReach.com


After the revised credit rating given by Standard's and Poor's to the US, the key benchmark indices across Asian markets fell sharply. South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Japan indexes were down by between 1.31% to 3.99%. Moreover, the BSE Sensex was also down to a14-month low of less than 17,000 (16,844.79 to be precise). All the components of the 30-share Sensex pack fell, including Tata Motors and DLF, by around 5% each. BSE Index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) dipped 2.73% .
