The company asserts that the new SX4 diesel will offer a mileage of 21.5 km per liter. The other diesel models already in the market include Maruti Swift, Dzire and Ritz. The Maruti SX4 Diesel version is expected to compete against Fiat Linea, Totyota Etios and Volkswagen Vento. One of the unique features of the SX4 diesel is On-Board Diagnostics System (OBD-2), which checks the flow of emission levels in the emission control system.
