OEL Dubai has begun their debut cargo vessel in the ICTT on Thursday, which was a day prior to the official commencement of the International Terminal. OEL Dubai (IMO 9351804), a Panama-flagged vessel with about 500 containers came to Kochi from Colombo and will return to Colombo.

India's fist International Container Trans-Shipment Terminal (ICTT) is under operation in the Special Economic Zone at the nearby Vallarpadam Island. Kochi and the SEZ has been specially designed to handle largest container ships. Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh has inaugurated the prestigious moment on Friday with a token inaugural call by a vessel that is small by its standards.Read more at www.yreach.com
